According to them, they perceive it as an absolute lack of financial resources for living, housing and food.įrom the perspective of the future, we were interested in the fact that, despite their current situation, they do not need anything more. Despite the fact that they perceive their situation very negatively, the participants do not use the word poverty in connection with their situation. The research brought many interesting findings. The data were analysed using the program Atlas.Ti. The condition for inclusion in the research was that at least one of the household members had an income from work and that the household income did not exceed 60% of the national median equivalised disposable income after social transfers All of the participants were those who were living in a household with an available equivalent income below the poverty line which means below 60% of the median of the country and work full-time or part-time, are in the age group of 18 to 64 years and have worked for at least 7 months in the reference year. The research group consisted of 17 participants (M - 8, F - 9 mean age 41.25). We particularly focused on how families describe living in poverty. ![]() The aim of the article is to find out how working poverty in Slovakia perceives his life and how he subjectively evaluates the life situation of his family. Poverty is not always the result of unemployment, but people who work are also poor. social workers working in certain types of facilities.
